Calling Volunteers for Mentoring and Tutoring At-risk Westfield Youth |

Currently, fifteen adult volunteers have been placed with children referred to the Westfield Youth Assistance Program. There are 50 more children that need a mentor. Also, in August we will be partnering with several Westfield schools to place upwards of 50 volunteer tutors with WYAP youth who need assistance in their academic work. We need the faith-based community to step up in a large way to fill this need and to make a "positive" impact in our community. Since 1999, the United Way has teamed up with Central Indiana organizations to provide school supplies for students who can't afford them. This is a great opportunity for Lord of Life to "Be the Church" in Indiana. We will be collecting school supplies through Sunday, July 18. Requested supplies are listed below. Bring your supplies to the collection area in the fellowship area.
