Calling Volunteers for Mentoring and Tutoring
At-risk Westfield Youth
Currently, fifteen adult volunteers have been placed
with children referred to the Westfield Youth
Assistance Program. There are 50 more children that
need a mentor. Also, in August we will be partnering
with several Westfield schools to place upwards of 50
volunteer tutors with WYAP youth who need assistance
in their academic work. We need the faith-based
community to step up in a large way to fill this need
and to make a "positive" impact in our community. If

Lord of Life to connect to service
opportunities in our local community. A
list has service opportunities is available
on the Ministry Sign-up bulletin board
across from the Welcome Center. If you

Planning meetings for the mission trip are Wednesday, May 5; Tuesday, May 18; and Thursday June 17. All meeting will begin at 7:00. Group building, Bible study and event planning will take place at each meeting; it is important that all mission team members make plans to attend. Contact Jeanne Meredith 752-0790 with questions. |

Put together the most well rounded, intelligent team you can find and join others on Friday, May 7 at 7:00 for a trivia night fundraiser. Teams of eight will compete through four rounds of trivia as they help raise funds for the St. Louis mission trip. Tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased after church on Sunday, May 2. Alishe Dobberstein leads a women's Bible study on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will be a video/Bible study based on Beth Moore's study guide on the book of Esther. |
