Pastor Tim is participating with seven, local clergy in a Lilly funded peer study group exploration of multiplying movements around the world. These movements are groups of believers who bucking the trends of declining churches and denominational trends and are reaching their unchurched community by the thousands rather than by five’s and ten’s at a time. Two to three five day visits will be made to various minis-try sites in the next two years. A third year, ten day visit to an international ministry site will be conducted in 2011/2012. A congregational support team (Terry Wright, Lance Dardeen, Jeanne Meredith, and Sarah Dobberstein) has been formed Pastor Tim to help process learning and discoveries and to bring back to our congregational outreach and ministry effective practices and approaches to our ministry’s outreach. This group is also reading through materials which Pastor Tim is exposed to and are, occasionally, scheduled to meet with the support groups of the other seven pastors. Please pray that the Holy Spirit direct and guide this process and lead us to effectively use new methods and means for reaching our community, state, and nation.
