Please mark your personal calendars with the dates that you are to serve on the various worship teams for the third quarter of 2008. If there is a conflict with any date, please find a substitute for yourself and inform the coordinator for your area. We truly appreciate your servant hearts and never take for granted all you do to make our worship services run smoothly. Thanks go out to Jeanne Meredith for the difficult job of putting all the names in the right place on the volunteer calendar! |

Last month we were asked to pray about:
- what God wants you to do and
- what God wants you to give
Coming up this month we will be hearing stewardship sermons and testimonies from members of the congregation. Be thinking about how we can be gracious stewards for the Lord’s work? Please consider how you can use your time, talents and treasure as you grow stronger as a Steward of God. |

Topics such as creepy crawlies (bugs), rocks, water life, local wildlife and plants and trees were presented each day through crafts, games and lesson activities. |

The Building Committee received construction bids right at budget ($3,193,191) and accepted the bids at its June 18th meeting. They authorized Myer-Najem, our construction manager, to secure it as a guaranteed maximum cost and to proceed with construction. Construction of the large laminate beams will not be completed until the end of August, so foundation laying will not begin until August 11th. Soon after that we should see the structure rising out of the ground. Construction has been projected to take 36 weeks with completion being slated for the end of April 2009. Pray that the Lord allows for favorable weather which will not delay the project, that safety be granted the workers, and that the beginning and completion of construction will lead families in the community to come to know Jesus. |
