Family Night Dinner (6:00 pm)
Wednesday Family Night
Our Winter Wednesday Family Night program also will continue through
February and March. The program begins with a light supper at 6:00 p.m.
(freewill donation). At 6:30 we break out into the various groups. Our
children and youth will be learning and growing in prayer during this
session. CrossTown is provided for children preschool to Kindergarten.
Explorers
& 6th grade a fun and interactive way to learn the Bible through video and
drama. Youth Encounter is provided for our Junior High and High School
youth. High Flight for adults will be participating in the John Ortberg small
group studies on the Lord’s Prayer through the end of Lent Put it on your
calendar and plan to attend each Wednesday through March 24th
gives children 1st through 4th grade. Bible Buzz gives children 5th

Lenten Worship Services Begin on Wed., Feb. 17th
Lenten worship services
7:15 p.m.

the story of Jesus’ suffering and death and its connection to
each of the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer. The theme of this year’s
Lenten season is: Teach Us to Pray. Worship services will follow immediately
after the Family Night/small group activities conclude at 7:10.
Worship will be devotional in nature and will last approximately ½ hour.
We will sing familiar Lenten songs and hymns.

Food Drive (8:00 am - 12:00 - noon)
LOL Food Drive
Spring break is a time of the year when the food banks need
our help. Lots of kids in the area get their healthiest meals at
school. When school is on break they may not get enough to
eat. Let’s BE THE CHURCH and help those in need by putting
some food on the shelves at Open Doors of Westfield.
We will be collecting non perishable food items out side the
classrooms at the north entrance March 7th through Sunday,
March 21st.

Be The Church (12:15 - noon - 1:15 pm)
Be the Church in St. Louis by being part of our congregation’s
summer mission trip. Throughout the week of June
20-27, we will be working with Epic Ministries and
serving in the St. Louis area. The week could consist of
sharing the love of Christ with the children in the
neighborhoods and some construction projects. We will
be able to serve for either 3, 4, or 7 days. Our first
informational meeting is Sunday, March 7 after the 10:45
service. Fundraising opportunities are being planned to
help offset the cost of the mission trip.

We will be meeting today at 5:00pm(meet here at LoL) to hand out fliers in the Mill Grove neighborhood. When we are finished, there will be pizza at 6:00. There will be class at 6:30pm.

L.I.F.E. Tuesday Morning Ladies
Bible Study on Esther
L.I.F.E. (Ladies in Fellowship Encounters) is a large group
teaching, small group discussion Bible study experience.
It is held, weekly, on Tuesday mornings from 9:15 until
11:15 a.m. Pastor Tim will begin a new study on the book
of Esther, entitled “A Woman of Strength and Dignity.” This
is a study of an Old Testament woman of faith whom God
used in powerful and significant ways in His saving plan.
We invite women of all ages. If you have need of
childcare, please contact the church office so that it can
be arranged. In case of inclement weather, classes will
not be held on mornings when Westfield schools are
either on a 2 hour delay or are closed. Invite a friend or
neighbor to join us.

Men's Bible Study (7:30 am - 9:15 am)
Saturday Men’s Bible Breakfast meets
March 13 and 27
On every other Saturday morning, men gather for
a Bible breakfast @ 7:30 a.m. for fellowship
around coffee and donuts to study topics of the
Bible that are relevant to men. Currently, we are
studying the Bible study guide, “Becoming More
Like Jesus.” Leadership of topics and studies is
shared among several of the guys. Join our group
to fellowship with Christian guys hungry to go
deeper in their walk with Jesus and to assist each
other to live out their life in Christ.

Be The Church (8:00 am - 11:30 am)
Be the Church in the Mill Grove Neighborhood by joining
members of Lord of Life to serve the neighbors who live
close to our church. On Saturday, March 13 from
8:00-11:30, we will send out several work teams to help
the families who live in the Mill Grove area. Our goal is
to perform random acts of kindness such as window
washing, raking or shoveling, cleaning, and minor repair.
Meet at Lord of Life at 8:00 a.m. and join other families
as we all serve together and serve as a window to the
world by sharing the love of Jesus.

Springs Forward on March 14th
You don’t want to be late for worship or the Family Education Hour on
Sunday, March 14th. So you will have to move your clocks ahead one
hour on Saturday evening March 13th in preparation for the beginning of
Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 14th at 2 a.m. We will try to
have an extra pot of coffee on that morning for everyone dragging in
from one hour less sleep!

All Middle School youth and their friends are invited to
come out for a service opportunity on Saturday March
13th at 8a.m. Meet at LOL. Following the event, we’ll
have a pizza lunch and then head to the theatre to see
“Alice in Wonderland”. Parents, we will need drivers!
Please pick up your child at the theatre. More details to
follow.

Begining Faith Check-Up (7:00 pm)
Six 6th Graders to
Complete Early
Communion Training
The first year of our young adult confirmation training
called “Beginning Faith” leads students through the basic
teaching of the Christian faith, including instruction and
preparation for receiving the Lord’s Supper. The student,
their parents, the Elders, and the pastor met together for a
“spiritual check-up” to determine if the student is prepared
to receive the Lord’s Supper at this time. The class will be
receiving the Lord’s Supper for the first time on Holy Thursday,
April 1st . This year the following students are participating:
Austin Davis, Robert Hatcher, Julia Miller, and Ryan
Wright. Please pray for their growth in faith.
